IndiaSkills is the country’s largest skill-based competition, created to highlight the highest standards of vocational excellence. It serves as a platform for young individuals to present their abilities at both national and international stages. Organized every two years with the collaboration of state governments and industry partners, the competition celebrates and promotes skill development across the nation.

IndiaSkills Competition 2025

The IndiaSkills 2025 National Competition, will bringing together 63 skills for which participants from all 36 states and UTs will compete.

Skills Under Telecom Sector Skill Council

1. IT Network System Administration

IT Network Systems Administrators keep essential IT services running smoothly across public and private sectors, managing, maintaining, and upgrading systems to minimize costly downtime. Their work spans user support, troubleshooting, network design, installation, configuration, and system optimization. They operate in settings such as network operations centres, data centres, and server rooms, often specializing in specific areas like user support or network device setup. Combining technical skills with problem-solving, communication, and adaptability, they stay current with emerging technologies. In today’s fast-changing, global IT landscape, they carry significant responsibility, work independently or collaboratively, and navigate diverse environments, making them highly valued professionals with broad career prospects.

2. ICT Network Infrastructure

ICT Network Infrastructure underpins modern digital societies, supporting technologies like AI, Big Data, Cloud, IoT, and IIoT through reliable, high-quality networks. It covers the design, construction, and maintenance of telecom systems, including data centres, mobile networks, LANs, CATV, and automation. Technicians in this field need specialized skills to design, install, and test networks that meet client needs and industry standards, ensuring efficiency and minimizing downtime. They work with telecom or electrical companies to provide broadband, cable TV, and telephone services for commercial and residential users.
